This 1879 Gothic sandstone mansion illustrates the cultural, architectural, and economic history of 19th century St. Joseph.  The exterior features a unique north side turret that makes the mansion resemble a castle.  The interior features oil-on-canvas paintings on the first floor ceilings, walnut woodwork, and stained glass windows.  The second floor also features exhibits on Jesse James and the third floor is dedicated to natural history exhibits.  The Mansion is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.  The Wyeth-Tootle Mansion is closed on major holidays.  Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for students, and free for children 6 and under.

The Mansion will be closed in January and February of 2010 for renovations.
